Never Stop Brother

Little boy, Big city.

On the move (to NYC)

Just a little while ago, I got a job offer from a small web software company in NYC. Back then, of course, I was still living in Tel Aviv, Israel.
This came as a bit of a surprise: I was just visiting New York last summer, and I fell completely in love with it. I was fantasizing about every possible way I could live here. And then the dream came true, the option was now real.

It still wasn’t an easy decision, but I obeyed the heart, and went on, to fulfill myself a wish.
So I quit my job, my school plans, left my beautiful apartment, threw a big going-away party, said goodbye to my parents, my friends, my girlfriend - and caught a flight to JFK.

Ever since, in between office hours and (a lot of) coffee cups, I’ve been trying to figure out: where I am, where I’m going; Probably for the first time in my life, I’m on the verge of a truly fresh start, I’m utterly alone, on my own, controlling my life.

Yup, pretty heavy stuff.
Usually, I get tired of it, and just try to enjoy the time here, be a tourist in my own life.
I suspect it’s part of being a New Yorker.
